 Welcome Message from Our Pastor

Welcome to "Bridges of Faith" - Holy Trinity and Saint Stephen Parishes.  We have a vibrant history, which is a common one. The Church of the Immaculate Conception (now the home of Holy Trinity) was formed on December 8, 1854, as part of the Diocese of Albany, NY. The Syracuse Diocese was formed in 1886 under the guidance of Bishop Patrick Ludden. On July 1, 1928, Saint Stephen parish was established by Bishop Daniel Curley, the diocese’s third bishop. Saint Stephen parish was formed as the “daughter parish” of Immaculate Conception, Fulton. The Reverend Harold J. Flynn was St. Stephen’s first pastor and later the sixth pastor of Immaculate Conception.

You will find in our parishes many ways to become involved. We offer a Family Faith Formation program, which is open to all of our elementary-aged parishioners. Parents, being the first educators in the ways of faith of their children, are encouraged to take a leading role in the faith formation of their children. For our Middle School and High School students, there is a program geared towards their learning faith in a deeper way through fun and service. For our adult members, there are many different ways to serve the parish: as liturgical ministers, members of our Golden Agers or Altar-Rosary Society, Knights of Columbus, and Catholic Daughters. And we like to have fun!! St. Stephen’s hosts the annual Strawberry Festival, and Holy Trinity hosts its Family Fun Festival every summer. It is a wonderful opportunity for our parishioners to work together for the support of the parish.

We have two major outreach programs to assist those in need in our local community. Our Family/Respect Life Committee staffs Mary’s Closet, a place for mothers to obtain whatever they may need to help parent their children. The Parish Council of Holy Trinity-St. Stephen hosts a free community dinner every last Wednesday of the month for anyone in need.

We would be most happy if you chose to be a part of our community of faith and fun. As you scroll through this webpage, you will find all the information you may need to learn about our parishes.

May God bless you and pray you will grow closer to Jesus. Our ultimate goal is to live with him forever – but for now, join us and experience His love lived here!
